A 64 year old male with hypoxemia (low oxygen level in the blood). The CT result shows as:

Acute pulmonary artery embolism (a blockage of an artery in the lung) spanning the right and left pulmonary arteries. Occlusive lobar thrombus (blood clot) involves all the pulmonary arteries on both right and left sides. Main pulmonary artery is enlarged and measures approximately 3.3cm (normal size of the main pulmonary artery is around 2.5cm).

The Stanford 3D technologist utilized specific technology to demonstrate the pathology in orthogonal planes, which provides detailed diagnostic information to the physicians.
