Speaking Engagements

Since its inception, the Stanford 3D and Quantitative Imaging Laboratory has placed a strong emphasis on education. In addition to supporting patient care and research, the lab regularly shares its experience through lectures, workshops, and hands-on demonstrations for healthcare professionals, students, and visitors institutions.

Topics have included cardiovascular CT post-processing, TAVR planning, point-of-care 3D printing, workflow design, and strategies for integrating advanced visualization into clinical practice. Presentations have been tailored to a wide range of audiences, from radiologic technologists and trainees to surgeons, engineers, and healthcare leaders.

The lab’s educational efforts have reached national and international venues, including RSNA, ECR, ISCT, SCCT, HIMSS, 3DHEALS, and Stanford-hosted workshops. Team members have also regularly led tours and introductory sessions for student groups, visiting physicians, and external organizations interested in building their own advanced imaging and 3D printing programs.

These activities extend the impact of the lab beyond direct patient care. By sharing practical workflows, lessons learned, and real-world examples, the 3DQ Lab has helped many other institutions better understand how advanced imaging and 3D printing can support clinical care, education, and research.
